Dowdens Pumping and Water Treatment have successfully installed and commissioned an innovative dewatering pumps water management system for THIESS Australia at their Burton Coal Mine (located 150km South-West of Mackay).

• The supply of 5 electric dewatering pumps
• All pumps to have S/S Impellers
• Pumpset to be mounted on common galvanised base frame with sustaining valve
• Soft start electric controls built to site specs and mounted on pumpset base frame
• All dewatering pumps to have self-priming capabilities
• Pumping flow rates ranging from 300L - 40L/sec
• 36m of suction pipe with strainers
• Pumpset installation was completed by THIESS

Key Plant Features:

• Cornell and TKL Hydro Titan wet ends
• CMG 415v mine spec motors ranging from 450kW down to 22kW
• All motors supplied with four pole speed
• Bermad Control Valves
• Electric controls consist of soft starters, push button start with flow switch protection to stop, all fitted within a mine spec cabinet
• All equipment was designed, fabricated, assembled and tested in Dowdens Pumping and Water Treatment's workshop prior to despatch

• Mag flow meters for monitoring flow rates on each pumpset
• Battery and 24v power supplies
• Sizes ranging from 450NB (Nominal Bore) down to 150NB
